Content Piracy and what it means to you.

Just a few words about content piracy which I’m sure you are aware, hurts us all. At Grooby Productions, we try to make the content as available to our members as possible. This includes easy downloadable zip files, images that can be simply saved with a right click (many sites are now disabling this) and video that can be downloaded onto your harddrive, saved to CD/DVD and watched on other computers instead of having a prohibitive DRM wrap on it, which would only allow it to be watched for a set period of time. We encourage you to download and enjoy our material, to collect your favourites and even when you are not a current member, to still be able to access that material. However, a small handful of members seem to think this means they can upload our copyrighted material to other websites and post the link, so many people can get it for free. Although we may look larger, we’re a small company of less than 15 full time employees and some part-time photographers. We’re not a massive corporation and by people giving away the content for free, we are losing money - money which affects our budgets and who and what we can shoot. The company loses revenue, the photographers get less work, the models don’t get reshot as often and consequently, the site and you, the paying members get less for your money.

I try to operate this company with respect and integrity. A larger amount of our budget does go back into the material than most porn companies, reshooting popular models more often and trying to get new models. As a company, our employees whether full, part-time or freelance get treat properly with fair pay and profit sharing. We contribute to charities and are active in the TG community.

This isn’t a sob story but it is an appeal and a warning to those that think it’s ok to post our material anywhere, without permission, to try and see how it affects more than just a “faceless porn corporation”. If we find copyright infrigements or content uploaded to other websites, we will actively and agressively prosecute you for copyright infringement, to the full extent of US and international copyright law.
Affiliates should only be using the content at the Groobybucks.com website unless otherwise agreed. Members may download and post up to 3 images of any one model on forums, blogs and personal websites where relevant and may not alter the images in anyway apart from the make thumbnails.
